The Network Administration System
Installed on your network, SDMS V QCF Learning and Skills allows you to manage every stage of the QCF/SCQF process from initial registration, through achievement of each unit, to receipt of the award and certificate. It allows users to maintain records of QCFs being undertaken by Candidates (employees or external candidates), allowing planning and tracking of their Award with each Unit and Element leading to the overall National Vocational Qualification. It includes comprehensive employee and candidate information, full qualifications and previous experience profile; QCF/SCQF Award Set up and Administration; Award and Learning Planner; Candidate Tracker; Assessor’s and Verifier's Management; Award Management and Portfolio Management. And in addition; Work Placements, Meetings and Quality Assurance Records can be maintained.

With the QCF Laptop Assessor, simply download your Candidates’ information and portfolio to your notebook and take it with you so it’s available without having to take bulky paper files with you! Simply click Dock Out. All the information you need to review Candidate progress and achievement will be to hand.
“But doesn’t this mean that when I come back to the office I have to spend lots of time keying information into the office system?”
No, not if you use the software to carry out your assessments with the Candidate; collecting video records, photographic or any electronic material presented by the Candidate. A few simple clicks with the ability to assess online is all it needs. Then when you get back to the office connect your laptop to the network, click Dock In and the records on the notebook and network are synchronised. And where you never or very rarely return to base, Dock Out and Dock In are available with email options for full Candidate Records and Portfolios.
