Maths on Track (Scotland) offers specialised support for 5-14 mathematics to Local Authorities and their Schools, Schools and their Teachers, and Parents and their Children.
The Director of MoT is Tom Renwick, who regularly gives in-services for Teachers on any aspect of 5-14 maths at both Local Authority and School level, with numbers varying from 100 to 10.
A programme of study he has developed is now described by HMI as 'very good', and some or all of the support materials he has written are being used in over half the Primary Schools in Scotland.
His in-services, which are tailored to 5-14 for P1 to S2 and meet McCrone CPD requirements, include progressions in both mental agility and problem solving, and, how mental agility can lead the learning and is perhaps the best context for interactive teaching.
