“Mobile Money was founded in 1998 and was the UK’s first cash log book loans company, providing cash loans at a national level. Unlike most loan companies, we operate a branch network of friendly staff and we currently have 33 branches throughout England and Wales.

The training of our staff is essential to providing a high quality service to our customers, and with over 70 staff spread all over the UK, arranging face to face training can be difficult and very costly. A decision was made to investigate e-Learning Systems and how they could be used to deliver critical training to staff across a wide range of locations.

During our research into potential solutions, we short listed 2 companies, including SDMS, and arranged an On Line Presentation of both systems. In comparing both of our short listed systems, we found that the eFront e-Learning solution that SDMS provided not only gave us the ability to design impressive e-Learning Courses, but to design assessments and tests and keep a record of all training undertaken by staff. We also chose eFront over the other system as it would allow us to design an unlimited number of courses and tests for one price rather than paying per test that we created.

Testing the knowledge of our staff after they have completed the On Line Course was a key requirement, and eFront allows us to set up courses with several different question types making sure the assessments are as interesting and interactive as possible and to ensure that the course learning objectives have been achieved. Creating random tests from a Pool of questions and using Skills Gaps Tests to identify any missing employee skills are some of the features that we are keen to start using once we have the system set up.

We also found that SDMS would also provide us with additional functionality, which at the present time we don’t need but as we progress with the implementation will become relevant.

Before taking a second look at the product, SDMS asked us to send over some of our Anti-Money Laundering training materials which they set up as an e-Learning Course and showed how the course could be used during the Presentation, allowing us to see how easy it was to set up a course and how the software could be used within our organisation.

We are accredited members of the Consumer Credit Trade Association – this means we always follow the CCTA Code of Practice for Responsible Lending and we will do our utmost to provide a professional service to our customers. As part of our commitment as a Responsible lender, we are confident that eFront will help us comply with Consumer Credit Regulations by allowing us to provide evidence that all staff have received necessary training in the latest guidelines and policies and that they have understood these.

SDMS also offered to help set up the system by offering a free data import for staff details. They have asked that we send them the staff details so that they can import them in and set the system up for us, saving us both the time and money of having to key in all the basic staff information and set up all the user accounts for our staff.
