Match History and Assessments

Match History, Appearance, Selection and Substitution can be recorded for each youth player together with Scores; Match Discipline and Post Match Assessments.

A full profile of the Player’s History with the Club can easily be managed; logging details of the match, whether a League, Cup or friendly competition, whether they played injured, or as a substitute and how many goals they scored. An important aspect of a player’s career is the management of their discipline record as to the offence, the number of bookings and sending’s off on a cumulative basis, which extends into the management of fines, suspensions and censure/hearings where applicable. The logging and tracking of International appearances is also supported within the software.

Player Assessments

A complete record of all player assessments with Date, Assessors Name and Assessment Type can be recorded. As many types of assessment can be defined such as Goalkeeper or Attacker Type, Trialist Assessment, Scouting Assessment and Opposition Player Assessment. Within each assessment type, a range of assessment criteria can be defined such as Ball Control, Penalty Taking, Tactical Awareness, etc. and the player’s performance graded against it. Grade styles may be numeric or descriptive. A text may be assigned to each grade which then allows the software to automatically generate progress statements for Academy Player’s School Heads or Parents. Set up once assessment types, criteria and grades are re-useable when each player is assessed. Coach, Scout and Player comments can be added to the assessment. In addition, a coaching or skills development or fitness action plan can be recorded following the assessment.

Medical Records

The Player Medical Records, Injuries and Medical Audit Software allows full Medical Histories for all players to be maintained from initial contact and trialing of Academy Players to pre-contract medical assessment of Professional Players. The software mirrors the familiar process of best medical practice, allowing an initial summary of family background and relatives with known health problems or illnesses; any known or previous illness and hospitalisation; allergies and treatments; and special medical requirements to be logged. A full record of any injuries sustained can be maintained for all players, including Date, Circumstances of the Injury, Full Details, Doctors and Treatment Dates, Type and Fitness Tests. Where the injury leads to insurance claims, these can be logged with the software. Dates and results of all medicals can be maintained as can the dates and the results of all Physical, Fitness and Skill tests. Thus a detailed personnel profile and history of physical development and fitness is provided. A wide and extensive set of reports is provided, including: Medical History, PE and Fitness Tests (both summary and detailed), Immunisation Reports, Allergies, Drug Tests, Height Change, Weight Change and Body Fat Change over time; specific reports are also provided for Audits.

Scouting Prospects

The Scouting Manager and Prospective Player Module adds a further dimension to the system. Its user definable features ensure that those different skills and abilities, which each Club uses to judge Prospective Players - whether Professional or Academy - can be incorporated into the software. It allows you to hold personnel details of Prospective Players, Match Records, Player Assessments, and Scouting Recommendations with supporting Video and Photo Library. Thus SDMS Soccer Scout ensures that the profile of Prospective Players is systematically stored and ready to hand for all key decisions makers in the Club. Whether you use full time or part time and casual Staff as Scouts or Coaches, SDMS Scouting will ensure views and assessments of prospective signings are readily available and not just ”in someone’s head”!
